Frequently Asked Questions

Q: I’m not sure what I need. Help!
A: You’re in the right place. We’re here to help you make the best decision to suit your home, style and budget. If you’d like to talk to someone, contact us and we’ll have a Luxaflex expert in your area get back to you and discuss your needs.

Q: How much is a measure and quote?
A: It's free. We recommend you visit a showroom first so you can see for yourself our extensive range of blinds, shades, shutters and awnings and arrange a measure and quote.

Q: Why can’t I install my own Luxaflex blinds?
A: We have the best blinds, shades, shutters and awnings available. We want to ensure that quality extends to the installation process. Correct installation ensures the product operates properly and lasts. Incorrect installation can ruin your blinds so every Luxaflex dealer is trained to ensure that the installation is as good as the product. Every Luxaflex dealer is an expert in our products. They’ll make sure they get the right measurements, give you the right advice and ensure that the installation is as good as the product.

Q: How long will it be before my blinds will be ready?
A: Lead times vary depending on the product you order - many blinds are ready within a few weeks. Your Luxaflex dealer will be able to provide you with an exact time. Your Luxaflex dealer will contact you once your window coverings are available for installation.

Q: How do I clean my blinds?
A: Different blinds and shades require different processes, and not all cleaning tips apply to all our products. If you're unsure, please contact your local Luxaflex Gallery or Dealer. All of our blinds come with clear and concise cleaning and care instructions. Selected Luxaflex dealers provide a cleaning service designed specifically for Luxaflex products. Look for the Luxaflex Onsite Blind Cleaning logo next to the dealers offering this service.

Q: What are the Living, Classic and Designer series?
A: We have developed a series to help you better understand what range is most suitable for your budget while providing you with a diverse choice. Designer consists of exclusive, top-of-the-range products that provide unique features and premium solutions. The Designer series is available from Luxaflex Galleries and David Jones. Classic comprises the core range of Luxaflex products that Australian homeowners have loved for generations and Living is the affordable solution to having the quality, beauty and name of Luxaflex in your home without the premium bells and whistles of Classic or Designer.

Q: Are Luxaflex blinds environmentally friendly?
A: Luxaflex products are made with sustainability and the environment in mind. We offer many products which are recyclable, lead free, PVC free, made with recycled content, and many other green considerations. Every effort is taken to make the manufacturing process friendly to the environment without compromising on quality. Most Luxaflex window coverings will help to reduce heat transfer and will save energy for heating in winter and cooling in summer. This not only saves you money but reduces your emissions as well.

Q:  Are Luxaflex blinds child-safe?
A:  All Luxaflex Window Fashions products are compliant with Australian law. As an industry leader we work closely with the industry body and ACCC on Child Safety Regulations to ensure Australian homeowners are provided with products for their homes that are safe.
