The international Heimtextile Fair traditionally serves as a platform for new colour trends in textiles. The prominent colour theme from this years conference, held in Frankfurt, was metallic in both a prominent representation and accent colour. This primary theme was supported by an environmental focus. Luxaflex has several metallic fabrics, such as the Jupiter, Venus and Neptune fabrics, that are environmentally very sound featured below.
According to more localised predictions, colour trends in 2008 are forecasted to be focused on the environment and reflect Australia's fast paced technological lifestyle. More subtle textures and lineal patterns are going to be employed in future materials. LUXAFLEX has responded to this movement with the new Allure, West Coast and GreenScreen Evolution fabrics.
Going forward into 2009 the trends are forecasted to be more grey based neutrals with softer geometric circular patterns. Once again the environment has a strong impact on colours and patterns with the trends reflecting animals and plant life. LUXAFLEX has already launched fabrics in anticipation of this change such as the silk and Jacquard collection.
